TOPIC:
During the cold war in 1957, millionaire industrialist Cyrus Easton of Pugwash,
Nova Scotia hosted a peace conference in his hometown in an effort to
prevent a nuclear war. Out of this conference came the idea that in order to
make the earth a better place, people of all countries should live life as if
there were no borders, in other words, be a “World Citizen.”
Today, fifty years later, our world faces many new and different challenges.
Describe, in your own words, how you can live your life to be a World Citizen.
